Macro management
SOLIDWORKS Electrical
has a library allowing you to store parts of schemes, called Macros.
Macros are grouped together within the Macro
management and are thus available for use by all electrical projects.
The macros have filtering criteria allowing classification.

The Macro management dialog
box opens. It allows you to add, edit or delete macros.
The left-hand side of the Macro management
has two tabs.
Classification
This tab displays the macro classification in a tree.
The left side of the dialog box shows the macro classes, the right shows
the macros in the currently selected class.
Filters
This tab allows you to filter the macros list. All filtering criteria
are the same as those present in the macro properties.
The right side of the dialog box displays the macros corresponding to
the selected criteria.
Remove filters: Click this button
to remove all filter criteria.
Some of these features accept the multi-selection, such as Delete
or Properties.

Open:
The macros are viewed as electrical projects. When you
click the Open icon, the macro is automatically added to the dockable
panel in the Pages tab.
It is preceded by a specific icon to avoid confusing it with an
electrical project. The macro is automatically opened in the graphical
interface. |

Delete:
Deletes the selected Macros. |

Properties: Opens
the dialog box of the Macro properties.
If you select several Macros, the Properties
dialog box displays only the common properties. |

View:
Opens the Macro in a preview dialog box. This interface does not
allow modifications. |

Cut: Places a copy
of the selected Macros on the SOLIDWORKS Electrical
You can also use the shortcut: [Ctrl]
+ [X] |

Copy: Places a copy
of the selected Macros on the SOLIDWORKS Electrical
clipboard and keeps the originals. The Copy
command can be used also to copy the selected element list to
another application such as Excel (List
mode only).
You can also use the shortcut: [Ctrl]
+ [C] |

Paste: Pastes the
Macro present on the SOLIDWORKS Electrical
clipboard. A new Macro is created.
You can also use the shortcut: [Ctrl]
+ [V] |

Select all: Allows
you to select all the Macros displayed on the right-hand side
of the Macro management. |

List mode: Displays
Macros in the form of a list (Name, Description, classification).
In this mode, you can copy the list of the selected elements to
another application, such as Excel. |

Thumbnail mode:
Displays Macros in the form of thumbnail previews. |

Configuration: Allows
you to manage the display
settings for items in the dialog box. |

Archive:
Select the elements you want to archive and click the Archive
icon. A dialog box to save the file opens allowing you to save
the archived file. |

Unarchive: A file selection
dialog box opens where a TEWZIP file can be selected for unarchiving.
The Update data wizard
will open automatically. Refer to the Archive / Unarchive
chapter for more information. |

Classification management: Allows
you to manage
the different classes in which the macros are
stored. |
Display sub-classes content:
When the box is checked, it displays all the objects contained in the
sub-class of the selected class.
Keep the dialog opened: When
this option is selected, the dialog box does not close when you open an
object.
