Create a snapshot

A snapshot is an electrical project backup done at a special time, such as a new revision index creation. The snapshot offers the possibility to restore an old version of the electrical project, it must not be confused with the electrical project archive.

Snapshot management: Take snapshot

Menu: Process > Take snapshot

Dockable panel > Contextual menu of the electrical project: Take snapshot

An option dialog box opens asking you if you want to update the report and terminal strip drawings (according to the electrical project configuration settings).

Update drawings: The report, design rule, and terminal strip drawings are not updated and the command runs.

Cancel: The command stops and drawings are not updated.

The creation of a snapshot is automatic when you create a new revision index and if you have activated the option When book revision is verified.

It is also automatic when you activate the option After a period of (days).

In these cases, a message box opens allowing you to create the snapshot.

The Snapshot properties dialog box opens allowing you to manage specific information about the snapshot.
