General

On the General page, you can specify save and recovery options, menu functions, and add-ins for SOLIDWORKS Inspection.

To access this dialog box, click Home (ribbon) and click Options .

Autorecover

Enable Prompts you with a list of autorecovered files when you restart SOLIDWORKS Inspection after your computer has shut down.
Changes before Autorecover Specifies the number of changes you make before SOLIDWORKS Inspection creates an autorecover file.

Autosave

Autosave Automatically saves a project.
Changes before Autosave Specifies the number of changes you make before the project automatically saves.

Add-ins

Specifies add-ins to include in SOLIDWORKS Inspection.

Measurements Input and CMM Data Import Turns on Measurements Input for SOLIDWORKS Inspection Professional. Measurements Input provides a way to enter actual measured values into an inspection project.
Enable GD&T formatting for basic and reference dimensions Displays basic and reference dimensions with proper formatting (box or parenthesis).
SOLIDWORKS PDM Integration Turns on PDM integration so you can save and access data stored in SOLIDWORKS PDM.

Viewer Performance

Enable disk caching Improves viewer performance by writing temporary files to a default Windows location. This helps save memory.
Disk cache folder Specifies the location for cache files.

PDF Environment

Default Background Color Specifies the background color of PDF files.

2D and 3D CAD Environment

Default Background Color Specifies the background color of CAD files.
Default Tree Text color Specifies the tree text color of CAD files.

The tree structure contains items such as parts, sheets, and views.
