Aligning Drawings

If you compare two different-sized drawings, they might not align correctly. To align drawings correctly, you can specify the lower-left and the upper-right alignment points of the drawings.

To align drawings:

  1. Compare two drawings.
  2. Click Add Lower Left Alignment Point (Document ribbon).
  3. In the revised drawing, click a point in the lower left.
  4. In the original drawing, click the corresponding point.
If the drawings do not align perfectly, drag the handle on a drawing to move the drawing.
  5. Click Add Upper Right Alignment Point (Document ribbon).
  6. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the upper-right points of the drawings.
If the drawings do not align perfectly, click Clear All Alignment Points or Clear Upper Right Alignment Point so you can reapply the alignment points.
