Toolbox - Settings Dialog Box: Layers

You can use the Layers category of the Toolbox - Settings dialog box to map and manage predefined layers to basic entity types or to mechanical toolbox parts, symbols, and tables.

You can specify a predefined layer for each category of entities. A predefined layer specifies a set of predefined settings such as layer color, lineweight, and linetype. The Mechanical command creates the entity on the predefined layer. If the predefined layer does not exist, the command automatically creates the layer. Layers that the command creates are named mechanical layers.
