Polar Guide Settings

The Polar Guides tab in the Snaps category of the Settings dialog box lets you control polar guide options.

You can apply the settings as current polar guide settings or for Mechanical Snap Configurations.

Use polar guides to draw at exact angles and fixed intervals, starting from 3 o'clock (or East) and at additional angle increments.

A path line displays if the GravityBox crosses a geometric point and the pointer moves close to one of the polar guide angles.

To set up polar guide:

  1. 1. In the Settings dialog box, select Snaps.
  2. On the Polar Guides tab, specify options:
    Option Description
    Enable Polar Guides (Polar) Applies polar guide settings to EntitySnap pointers. The guides display along polar alignment angles from EntitySnap points (if ETrack is on)
    Display Polar guides Displays alignment paths.
    Incremental angles for Polar guide display Specifies the angle increment to display and applies polar guides.
    Display Polar guides at specific angle(s) Add specifies individual angle increment values for polar guides.

    Delete removes individual values.
    Display zero angle base guide Displays a path line along the zero base angle according to the current Custom Coordinate System (CCS).
    Polar angle measurement Specifies how to measure the elect settings for polar guides. Absolute measures the polar angle relative to the CCS. Relative measures the polar angle relative to the last entity you created.
       
  3. Click Apply.
