Setting Publishing Options for Drawing Sheet Sets

When you publish a drawing sheet set, for each drawing sheet the printer specified in the PageLayout associated with each drawing sheet is used. You can publish the drawing sheets to PDF as well as to a printer.

Note: The drawing template (.dwt) specified when you created the drawing sheet set should contain PageLayouts.

When you publish a drawing sheet set, for each drawing sheet the printer specified in the Page Configuration associated with each drawing sheet is used. You can publish the drawing sheets to PDF as well as to a printer.

Before publishing your drawing sheet sets, you can do the following:

  • Specify PDF publishing options, such as the location for the PDF file, specify whether to create one or multiple files, include layer information.
  • Specify whether to add print stamps on all sheets from the drawing sheet set.
  • Specify print stamp options, such as information to include in the print, additional text that can be printed or logged.
  • Specify whether sheets are published in reverse order (only to a printer).

To add a print stamp on published drawing sheets:

  1. In the Sheet Set Manager, open the drawing sheet set to publish.
  2. Click Publish and select Add Print Stamp.

    A tick mark against the menu option indicates that a print stamp will be added.

    To change the print stamp options, click Publish and select Print Stamp Options. See Using a Print Stamp when Issuing Printouts.

To specify whether to include a drawing sheet subset or an individual drawing sheet for printing:

You can specify for each drawing sheet whether you want to publish it or not.

  1. In the Sheet Set Manager, right-click a drawing sheet subset or a drawing sheet name and select Publish > Include for Printing.
  2. Specify an option:
    • Yes. Lets you include the drawing sheet for printing.
    • No. Lets you exclude the drawing sheet from printing. A printer symbol () indicates the status in the Sheet Set Manager.

    Note: When you publish the drawing sheets from a subset, you can take into account the Include for Publishing option: Right-click a subset and select Publish > Publish Drawing Sheets in Subset > Publish By Drawing Sheet "Include For Publish" Settings.

To publish sheets from a drawing sheet set in reverse order:

Note: You can publish the drawings in reverse order only to a printer.

  1. In the Sheet Set Manager, open the drawing sheet set to publish.
  2. Select the drawing sheet set or a subset and do one of the following:
    • Right-click and select Publish > Publish in Reverse Order from the context menu.
    • Click Publish and select Publish in Reverse Order.

    A tick mark against the menu option indicates that, during publishing, the drawing sheets will be published in reverse order.

To set PDF publishing options for a drawing sheet set:

  1. On the Sheet Set Manager, select a drawing sheet set from the drop-down list.
  2. Right-click the drawing sheet set or a subset and select Publish > PDF Options from the context menu.
  3. In the PDF Options dialog box, in Path, specify the folder in which to save the PDF file.
  4. Specify additional PDF publish options.
  5. Click OK.
