Importing Sheets into the Drawing Sheet Set
You can import one or more sheets from existing drawings into a drawing sheet set.
Importing a sheet into a drawing sheet set adds the corresponding shortcut to the drawing sheet set. The sheet and the drawing that contains it remain in their original location.
Note: One sheet can be used in only one drawing sheet set.
To import drawing sheets into the drawing sheet set:
- On the Sheet Set Manager, select the drawing sheet set in the drop-down list.
- Click the Drawing Sheet List tab.
- Right-click the drawing sheet set or the subset in to which you want to import the drawing sheet and select Import Sheet from the context menu.
- In the dialog box, click Browse.
- Browse for the drawing containing the sheet to import and click Open.
The dialog box lists all sheets from the specified drawing. For each sheet, the Status column specifies if the sheet is available for import.
Note: One sheet can be used in only one drawing sheet set. To import a sheet that is already included in another drawing sheet set, create a copy of the sheet and import it.
- Select the check boxes corresponding to the sheets to import.
- Optionally, select Prefix drawing sheet titles with file name to add the sheet drawing's file name before the sheet title.
- Click Import Selected.
The drawing sheet appears in the specified drawing sheet set or subset. You can drag and drop the new drawing sheet to another location.
To import a sheet that is currently open:
- On the Sheet Set Manager, select the drawing sheet set in the drop-down list.
- Click on the sheet tab to display it.
- Right-click the sheet tab and select Import Sheet from the context menu.
- In the Import Sheet as Drawing Sheet dialog box, click Import Selected.
