Creating a Drawing Sheet List Table
Use a drawing sheet list table on a drawing sheet of a drawing sheet set to quickly open any drawing sheet from the list.
You can add a drawing sheet list table to any drawing sheet of the current drawing sheet set. Usually, the first drawing sheet is the title sheet and therefore, lists all drawing sheets from the drawing sheet set.
Drawing Sheet List Table
The drawing sheet list table displays the drawing sheet titles as hyperlinks.
To open a drawing sheet, press Ctrl and click the drawing sheet number or title.
You can control the information that you want to display in the drawing sheet set table and the table style.
In practice, it is useful to have a table style for drawing sheet list tables. For easier use, you can add the new table style to your template.
As your project evolves, you may add drawing sheets to the drawing sheet set or change their order. Once you have created the drawing sheet list table, you can update it automatically to reflect all changes.
You can change the appearance of the drawing sheet list table at any time by modifying the table style. See Managing Table Styles.
To create a drawing sheet list table:
- In the Sheet Set Manager, open a drawing sheet set.
Note: You can add a drawing sheet list table only when a drawing sheet is open.
- If necessary, add a new drawing sheet to the drawing sheet set to use it as title sheet.
- On the Drawing Sheet List tab, right-click a drawing sheet set name and select New Drawing Sheet from the context menu.
- On the Drawing Sheet List tab, double-click the drawing sheet in which to insert the drawing sheet list table.
- Right-click the drawing sheet name and select Insert Drawing Sheet List Table from the context menu.
- In the Drawing Sheet List Table dialog box, in Table Style, select a table style to use for the table or click
to create a new table style.
- On the Table Data tab, do the following:
- In Title Text, specify the title of the table.
- In Column options, specify the data to include in the drawing sheet list table. Each line represents a column of the drawing sheet list table. You can add or remove columns from the drawing sheet list table, change the column order and content.
- Add. Adds a drawing sheet number to the table.
- Remove. Removes the selected column from the table.
- Move Up. Moves the selected column up in the column list. In the drawing sheet list table, the corresponding column moves to the left.
- Move Down. Moves the selected column down in the column list. In the drawing sheet list table, the corresponding column moves to the right.
The preview are updates according to your changes.
- On the Subsets and Drawing Sheets tab, specify the drawing sheet subsets and drawing sheets to include in the drawing sheet list table.
- Click OK.
The table frame appears attached to the mouse cursor.
- In the graphics area, specify the insertion point of the table.
To access drawing sheets from the drawing sheet list table:
- Press Ctrl and click the drawing sheet number or title.
To update a drawing sheet list table:
- In the graphics area, right-click the drawing sheet list to update and select Update Drawing Sheet List Table from the context menu.
Allways update the drawing sheet list table automatically. Any manual changes that you make dirrectly to the drawing sheet list table will be lost when you update the table.
