User Properties - Cache Options per Folder Tab

Use the Cache Options per Folder tab of the Cache Options page to control how the SOLIDWORKS PDM software clears or refreshes the local caches of users for designated folders. You can also use the Assigned Cache Options tab to view and modify cache options.

To access the Cache Options per Folder tab:

  1. Display a user's Properties dialog box by doing one of the following:
    • Expand Users and Groups Management > Users and double-click a user.
    • Expand Users and Groups Management, then right-click Users and select New User.
  2. In the left pane, click Cache Options.

Vault Folders

All vault folders are listed in the tree.

  • Select a folder to which you want to apply cache options.

    The cache options apply to the folder and all of its subfolders.

  • Expand folders to apply cache options only to a subfolder.
  • If you select the vault itself, the options you set apply to all folders in the vault.

Cache Options

Clear cache during logout Automatically clears the local cache when the user logs out.
Refresh cache during login Performs an automated Get Latest Version command for the files in the selected folder when the user logs in.
A icon is displayed for the permissions that are assigned based on the user's membership in a group. Hover over the icon to view the groups from which the permission is granted to the user.
