Translate Actors The translation mode lets you move actors in 3D space. Click Transform > Move > Translation Mode Select one or more actors. A triad gizmo appears. Note: The mouse pointer changes to when positioned for translating. To move actors along an axis, drag a gizmo axis. As you drag, a line indicates the linear displacement.To move actors along a plane, drag a gizmo web (the colored region between two axes). As you drag, a grid indicates the linear displacement.To move actors relative to a model edge or normal (indicated by a red arrow), press Alt ( Curve Detection Mode) while dragging.To type a displacement value, click the gizmo, then type a Length in the Properties pane and press Enter.
Rotate Actors The rotation mode lets you rotate actors in 3D space. Click Transform > Move > Rotation Mode Select one or more actors. A spherical gizmo appears. Note: The mouse pointer changes to when positioned for rotating. To rotate actors along an arc, drag a gizmo arc.As you drag, the angular displacement in degrees is displayed. When Grid Mode is enabled, rotation snaps to 45 degree increments. See Status Bar.To rotate freely (in any direction), drag the center of the gizmo.To rotate actors around a model edge or normal (indicated by a red arrow), press Alt ( Curve Detection Mode) while dragging.To type a displacement value, click the gizmo, then type an Angle in the Properties pane and press Enter.
