In this exercise, you learn how to manage revisions, print, and archive
the electrical project.
Managing Revisions
After updating the drawing list report, add revision A to all the drawings.
- In the Report
Manager, click Generate
drawings
to update the Drawing list reports.
- Click to modify the configuration settings.
- Specify 0AB for
Revision
numbering.
- Right-click a book and select Revisions
.
- In the Revision index
management dialog box, enter a description for index
0.
- Click Validate,
then click Verify.
SOLIDWORKS Electrical asks if you want to increment all
the drawings in the book to this index.
- Click OK.
Cancel the other operations proposed by SOLIDWORKS
Electrical.
- Repeat
this
operation to increment to index A.
Printing
Generate a
PDF file containing
all the electrical project drawings. You can generate the
PDF file with either of these tools:
- Click
.
- Browse to the location to save the PDF file.
- Keep the default parameters.
- Click Print to generate
the PDF file.
Archiving the Project
- In the Project
manager, select the electrical projects from the list and
click Close.
You
must close the drawings and electrical project to archive them.
- Click Archive
.
- Click Update
drawings to update all the project drawings.
- In the Save As dialog
box, modify the name of the file and browse to the location to archive
it.
