Creating and Managing Hyperlinks

You can link an external file or a project drawing to a graphical element. You can also link to items such as image files and PDF files.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click Draw > Hyperlink .
    • Right-click a scheme, line diagram, cabinet layout, terminal strip, or report entity, and click Hyperlink.
  2. In the dialog box, create the hyperlink using the following options:
    Option Description
    Text to display Enter the text for the hyperlink. This text appears in the context menu of the entity where the hyperlink is created.
    Hyperlink target Click ... to select the linked file.
    Path relative to current folder Select this option to display the file path in relative mode.
    Absolute file path Indicates the file path in absolute mode.
    Current folder Indicates the folder of the current electrical project.
    Hyperlink to project drawing Click ... to select a drawing of the current electrical project.
    Remove link Deletes the link.
    Open target Opens the file with the application to which it is associated. If the target is a project drawing, it is open in the graphical area.
To manage an existing hyperlink, right-click an entity that has a hyperlink and click one of the following:
  • Modify, to modify the hyperlink.
  • Delete, to remove the hyperlink.
