Cable Selector

You can use the cable selector to select one or more cables to use in the cable routing features.

To use cable selector, do one of the following:
  • Set Origin / Destination of Cables .
  • Segregation. Select cables .
  • Routes Cables. Select cables .
The Cable selector groups all the cables of the electrical project. They appear in a list that you can filter.
Icon Description
New cable. Opens the cable catalog where you can select the references to add to the electrical project.
Delete. Removes the selected cables. You cannot delete a cable if its cores are already in use.
Properties. Shows the properties of the selected cables. If you select several cables, the Properties dialog box displays only the common properties.
Duplicate. Copies individual or multiple cables including all their associated properties such as references or paths. The mark is automatically incremented.
Replace. Replaces the selected cables with other cables from the catalog. The new cables must have at least as many cores as the replaced cables.
Switch. Swaps the Origin and Destination and vice versa of the selected cables.
Disassociate cable core. Disconnects the selected cable cores.
Undo. Cancels the last command used.
Redo. Cancels the result of the last Undo command used.
Tree mode. Manages the display of the cables list. You can group the cables by function, by harness or by origin/destination.

You can filter the cables by name, reference, or origin/destination locations. According to the feature you open in the Cable selector, select one or more cables and click Select to validate your selection.
