Exporting Data to a Text File

You can export the electrical project data to a plain text (.txt) file using the report configurations.

  1. Click Report management > TXT export .
  2. Specify the following options:
    Option Description
    Add created files to project Creates .txt files in the storage directory for the electrical project and adds them to it as data files (or updates them if they already exist). If this option is not activated, the files are generated in the defined directory.
    Target folder Enter the target directory for the files. Click ... . If Add created files to project is activated, select a folder or a book in the electrical project. If not, you are prompted to select a directory.
    Export all reports Exports all reports of the electrical project. You can also select the reports you want to export in the list.
    Include column header in the first row Generates the names of the database fields on the first line of the file.

    Text identifier, Text separator, and File type are text formatting parameters. Select them according to the requirements of the software into which you will import the files.
  3. Select Open file to open the generated files after creation.

If they are in the electrical project pages, the exported files are automatically updated when you run commands such as printing, exporting to PDF files, or creating new revisions. You can also update them by right-clicking them and clicking Update exported report.
