Using Links to Navigate

Report previews include links to navigate to the electrical project elements, such as symbols, location properties, or manufacturer parts.



To create links in reports, use the Go To setting in the Report configuration.

The action taken when you click the link depends on the linked object.
Object Action
Document Goes to the drawing.
Component Shows the component in the dockable panel (component tab).

Shows all symbols associated with the component (goes to the symbol in the drawings), including 2D footprint.
Circuit Shows the symbols associated with the circuit.
Symbol Goes to the symbol in the drawing, zooming around it.
Cable Shows the line diagram where the cable is reserved (Goes to the first component connected to the cable).

Shows the cable core in the scheme drawing (Goes to the first component connected to the cable core).
Equipotential Shows the equipotential in the scheme drawing.
Wire/Cable core Shows the wire in the scheme drawing (Goes to the first component connected to the wire).
Manufacturer part Shows the symbol associated with this reference and goes to this symbol (2D footprint, wiring label).
Location Opens the location properties dialog box.
Function Opens the function properties dialog box.
