Basic Product Lifecycle Commands in My Session

You can perform product lifecycle management (PLM) operations on files in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform using the My Session widget.

The My Session widget displays a tree view of the active file and a list of commands that you can access through the action bar and context menu.

Command Description
Open When you open a file, it downloads an up-to-date version of the file.
Save Active Window Opens the Save to 3DEXPERIENCE dialog box to save selected files to the platform.
New From Template or Manage Templates New From Template creates a template from the locally saved drawing file. Manage Templates creates a drawing file from the template save on the platform.
Lock Locks the selected file.

You can lock files to prevent other users from using the same file for modification at the same time. This helps you to avoid concurrent changes.
Unlock Removes the lock of the selected file so others can modify it.
Reload from Server Updates the selected revision in a session with the latest version that exists in 3DEXPERIENCE.
Replace by Revision Opens the Replace by Revision dialog box to replace the revision that is open in the session.
Maturity Displays the lifecycle state of the object, for example: In Work or Frozen.
New Revision Creates a new revision of a file on the server and refreshes local information to reflect the new revision.

Properties Displays the 3DEXPERIENCE properties of the selected files.
