Using Named Drawing Sheet Selections

You can group various drawing sheets of a drawing sheet set into named drawing sheet selections and use them later, for publishing.

You can create as many named drawing sheet selections as necessary.

On the Sheet Set Manager, the Drawing Sheet Selection flyout groups the tools for working with named drawing sheet selections.

  • Create a named drawing sheet selection
  • Restore a drawing sheet selection
  • Rename an existing drawing sheet selection
  • Delete a drawing sheet selection.

Additionally, the flyout lists all named drawing sheet selection that you create. Selecting a drawing sheet selection from the flyout highlights the corresponding drawing sheets in the Drawing Sheet List.

Note: You cannot modify a drawing sheet selection. If you need to add or remove drawing sheets from a named drawing sheet selection, delete it and create a new drawing sheet selection. When you delete a named drawing sheet selection, the drawing sheets are not deleted.

To create a drawing sheet selection:

  1. In the Sheet Set Manager, open a drawing sheet set.
  2. Use Shift or Ctrl keys to select the drawing sheets to include in the named drawing sheet selection.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • From the Drawing Sheet Selection flyout, select Create.
    • Right-click and select Save Drawing Sheet Selection.
  4. In the dialog box, type the name of the drawing sheet selection.

    The drawing sheets are highlighted in the Sheet Set Manager. The new drawing sheet selection appears in the Drawing Sheet Selection flyout.

  5. Click OK.

To restore a drawing sheet selection:

  1. In the Sheet Set Manager, open a drawing sheet set.
  2. On the Drawing Sheet List tab, click Drawing Sheet Selections flyout and select a drawing sheet selection.

    The drawing sheet selection is highlighted and ready for publishing.

To rename or delete a drawing sheet selection:

  1. In the Sheet Set Manager, open a drawing sheet set.
  2. On the Drawing Sheet List tab, click Drawing Sheet Selections flyout and select Manage.
  3. In the Drawing Sheet Selections dialog box, select the name of a drawing sheet selection.
    • Rename. Lets you rename the drawing sheet selection.
    • Delete. Removes the drawing sheet selection from the list.
  4. Click OK.
