Accessing Terminal Strips

SOLIDWORKS Electrical has a complete terminal strip management system, from the insertion of terminals in drawings, to the automatic generation of terminal strip drawings, to cabling the terminals.

  1. Click Electrical projects > Terminal strips .
The Terminal strips management shows a list of all the terminal strips contained in the various locations of the electrical project. You can sort the list according to the configuration settings.

When you select a location in the list on the left, the right side of the dialog shows a list of terminal strips in this location. The right side of the dialog also shows the function, the number of terminals in the terminal strip, and the terminal strip drawing configuration settings.

Some of these features accept multiselection, such as Delete or Properties.

  2. In the Terminal strips management dialog box, the following options appear:

Generate drawing. Generates terminal strip drawings. If these already exist, they are updated. This command uses the configuration file settings applied to each terminal strip, supporting a variety of visual representations.
Reorder. Lets you sort and renumber all the terminals of the selected terminal strips.
Undo. Lets you cancel the previous operations.
Redo. Lets you redo the previous canceled operations.
