the user must also have delete permission in all workflow states the file has been
                  in. |

              | May see files
before initial check in (Private State) (SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional only) | See files that are added but not checked in to
the professional vault by other users. The details of the file
appear in italics in the Windows File Explorer file view and search results. Users
cannot perform any actions on private state files. In
the standard vault, only the Admin user can see the private state files.
                 |

              | May see contents of
                  private state files |
View details of all tabs of the file.View private state files of other users.Cache and open the added version of the file in its native
application. The reference information is not available in the Contains and Where
Used tabs until the file is checked-in at least once. |

              | May see folders to
navigate to subfolder with read file contents | If you have Read
file contents access to a lower-level folder, you can browse the
hierarchy of folders from a higher-level folder to a lower-level folder. You can do this even if you do not have Read file contents access on the parent folders of
                  the hierarchy. |

              | Move
file | Move files in the selected folder. To move a file, the user must also have move permission in all of
the workflow states the file has been in. |

              | Move
folder | Move the selected folder and
                subfolders. |

              | Permit or deny
                  group-level access to
files | Set group permissions on a selected file.
Group-level access to items is not supported so this permission is unavailable for
item folders. For a file in this folder, a user with this
permission can use the File Permissions tab
in the Properties dialog box to select groups
that will have file-level access. Only users who are in the selected groups and
have the appropriate folder and workflow state permissions will be able to access
the file. Users who are not in the group will not see the file regardless of their
folder and state permissions. You can also enable
group-level access to all files created by a specific user as a default setting
from the Permissions per File tab for that
user. See User Properties - Permissions per
                  File. |

              | Read file
contents | See a file in the selected folder. |

              | Read named bill of
                  materials(SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional
only) | Select named BOMs for files in the selected
                folder. |

              | Recover files from
recycle bin | Recover files (that have previously been
deleted) from the Deleted Items tab in the
                folder properties. |

              | Rename
file | Rename a file or subfolder in the selected
                folder. |

              | Rename
folder | Rename the selected folder and
                subfolders. |

              | Restore file from
cold storage | Recover files that have been archived in cold
storage. If the cold storage schema specifies files for
deletion, the files cannot be restored. |

              | Rollback | Use the Rollback command in the file History
dialog box. When you perform a rollback operation, you are prompted to
add a comment that will appear in the file's history. Rollback is not supported for items so this
permission is unavailable for item folders. |

              | See computed
BOM | Select computed BOMs for files in the selected
                folder. |

              | Set
Revision | Manually set revisions of files in the
selected folder if the workflow has been configured to use revisions. |

              | Share file to
                  another folder (SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional
only) | Use the Share feature in a file in the
selected folder. Sharing items is not supported so this permission is unavailable
                for item folders. |

              | Show working
versions of files | See both working versions and revisions of
files. To see a file that has no revision set (or if
revisions are not being used), this permission must be set together with
                    Read file contents. |
