The
Edit Mapping Rule
dialog
box
defines
the attribute mapping between SOLIDWORKS PDM and SOLIDWORKS Electrical.
Depending on the mapping direction,
the
target object
appears
at the
top of the
dialog box.
The
source object
appears
at the
bottom.
The text Will be equal to separates the target
and
source.
The
following example shows the source with static text and
wildcards:
- French name:
{PROJECT.DescriptionLang:fr}
- English name:
{PROJECT.TranslatedDataLang:1:en}

Defines the target variable,
which consists

two parts:
- Variable
name:
A
list
of
attributes to
choose from.
- Optional qualifier:

list of values
or
an
edited
field,
based on the mapping direction.
This
appears
only for properties, which require additional
parameters.

object variable |
Defines the source
variable:
- Enter a constant value, rules with
wildcards,
or a combination of both in the edit field.
- Click {} to open the Rule Expression Editor, which assists in
defining property values.
