Family Table PropertyManager

You can use the Family Table command to insert configuration data into drawings.

To open this PropertyManager in a drawing, do one of the following:
  • Click Insert > Tables > Family Table.
  • On the Annotation toolbar, click Tables > Family Table.
  • In the CommandManager, on the Annotation tab, click Tables > Family Table.
  • Right-click and click Tables > Family Table.

In the PropertyManager, to navigate the tabs, use the and buttons.

Part/Assembly to Insert

Open documents Select a part or assembly from which to create the family table, then click .

Thumbnail Preview

Displays a preview of the selected document.

Table Template

Displays the template used for the Family table. Choose a custom or standard template.

Open Table Template Browse for different templates.

Dimension Columns

Displays dimensions for the configurations. The design or configuration table controls these values. You can decide to include or remove these values from the table in the drawing.

Table Position

The stationary corner controls the direction in which the table expands when adding new columns or rows.

Stationary corner:

Top Left New columns extend to the right and new rows extend below the anchor point.
Top Right New columns extend to the left and new rows extend below the anchor point.
Bottom Left New columns extend to the right and new rows extend above the anchor point.
Bottom Right New columns extend to the left and new rows extend above the anchor point.
  Attach to anchor point Attaches the specified corner to the table anchor.

Model

Displays the specified model name.

Configurations

  All configurations  
  Specify configurations  
Select all If you click Specify configurations, selects all configurations.
Clear all If you click Specify configurations, clears all configurations.

Item Numbers

Specifies the item numbers in the table.

Start at Specifies the starting item number.
Increment Specifies the increment value.

Border

  Use document settings Uses border settings stored with the model.

To change document settings, click Options (Standard toolbar) or Tools > Options. On the Document Properties tab, under Drafting Standard, expand Tables and click Title Block Table.

Clear this option to specify border widths manually.

Box Border Specifies a line thickness for the outside border of the table.
Grid Border Specifies a line thickness for the inner gridlines of the table.

Layer

Specifies a layer for the table.

Text Format

All uppercase Select to specify that all characters in the table are uppercase.
