Text Markers

Text Markers settings inform CMM Data Import how to interpret text and comments in the CMM output file. You can use these markers to include balloon identifications in the CMM output file when using the Auto-Assign functionality.

To display this dialog box:

  1. In the CMM Data Import pane, click Settings .
  2. In the Settings dialog box, select a template and click Edit .
  3. In the CMM Template Editor dialog box, click Text Markers.
Setting Default Description
Char. . Specifies a unique first character of a text line to denote characteristic information.
Feature {None} Specifies a unique first character of a text line to denote feature information.
M.E. Axis .ME Specifies a unique identifier of a text line to add to the CMM output to designate manual entry data.

Delimiter {COMMA} Specifies a character to separate multiple entries in a field.
Strip line chars =,_,-,* Specifies characters to remove from the display and final report.

List the characters separated by the Delimiter.
End of file markers End of Measurement Specifies text that designates the end of a file by the CMM software.

This text ensures it does appear in the CMM Data Import report.
Skip lines ~ Specifies characters at the beginning of lines to skip when adding information to the matrix.
