Render Wizard

The Render Wizard in the main toolbar lets you specify options for rendering output.

When you click the Render Wizard (main toolbar),

the Welcome page lists the available render types.

Snapshot

Takes a snapshot of the 3D Viewport scene from the perspective of the current camera. Captures what you see on the screen. Select media (image format) and output settings.

Image Renders a still image from the perspective of the current camera. You can produce different images by varying layers, cameras, configurations, and other selections. Select media, size, quality, and output settings.
Animation

(Available in SOLIDWORKS Visualize Professional and Visualize Connected only.)

Creates a rendering of the configured animation timeline. The animation can be a sequence of images as animation frames or a video. You can output animations to video formats, such as *.mp4, *.flv, or *.mkv.
Panoramic View

(Available in SOLIDWORKS Visualize Professional and Visualize Connected only.)

Creates a spherical image that provides a 360° virtual reality panoramic experience. Viewers can change their viewing direction to any point around a design. Select size, quality, and output settings.

Panoramic view is often used to show interior views of a design.

Interactive View

(Available in SOLIDWORKS Visualize Professional and Visualize Connected only.)

Creates a series of images that provide an interactive web experience. You can enable website visitors to progress through a sequence of images or move around through one or more camera orbits. Select interactive, animation, size, quality, and output settings.

Interactive view is often used to show exterior views of a design.

The Welcome page also lets you select render presets from the Smart Control Bar. The presets contain settings for common renderings. You can create custom profiles and lock them to prevent changes to the settings.
