Applying Loads at Points

Apply a force at one reference point and a moment at another reference point.

1. Click Isometric on the Standard Views Toolbar to make sure you select the correct reference point.
2. Right-click the External Loads folder and select Force .
3. In the PropertyManager, under Selection:
   1. Click Vertices, Points and select Point1 from the flyout FeatureManager design tree.
   2. Select Front Plane from the flyout FeatureManager design tree for Face, Edge, Plane for Direction .
4. Under Units, select English (IPS).
5. Under Force:
   1. Click Along Plane Dir 2 .
   2. Type 500 lbf.
   3. Select Reverse direction.
6. Click .
