Checking Thermal Equilibrium

At steady state, heat energy entering the system must be equal to the heat energy leaving it. The total heat power generated by the chips is 0.8 Watts. Heat energy leaves the system through the faces with convection.

To list heat power leaving the system by convection:

In the Simulation study tree, right-click Results and select List Heat Power.
For Unit , select Watt.
Select the three faces on which you specified convection for Faces, Edges, or Vertices .
Click Update.
The net heat power leaving the system through the selected faces is listed under Summary as -0.8 Watts. The negative result indicates heat power is leaving the system.
Click .
