Creating a Transient Thermal Study

You now consider time in solving the same problem. You find the time required to reach steady state conditions.

1. To create a transient thermal study:
   1. Click the down arrow on New Study (Simulation CommandManager) and click New Study.
   2. Under Advanced Simulation, click Thermal .
   3. In the PropertyManager, under Name, enter Transient.
   4. Click .
2. To define the properties of the transient study:
   1. In the Simulation study tree, right-click the Transient study icon and click Properties.
      The Thermal dialog box appears.
   2. Under Solution type, do the following:
      • Click Transient.
      • Set Total time to 900 sec.
      • Set Time increment to 30 sec.
   3. Click OK.
