Importing Motion Loads to SOLIDWORKS Simulation

You import motion loads developed at the Link part to Simulation for a number of time instants (frames).

To import motion loads and define design scenarios:

  1. Click Simulation > Import Motion Loads.
  2. Select only link-1 in the Available assembly components box, then click to move it to the Selected components box.
  3. Click Multiple frame study (design scenarios, up to 10,000 sets).
  4. In the Start box, type 59 (2.32 sec).
  5. In the End box, type 67 (2.64 sec).
  6. Click OK.
Simulation automatically creates a new design study in the Link part document with predefined design scenarios. Each design scenario has the loads developed during motion at the particular time instant of the associated frame.

The above specifications define 9 design scenarios. By analyzing the link for all design scenarios, you can locate critical time instants when maximum stresses are likely to develop in the part.
