You apply outward displacement of 7 mm on the face of the archwire and bring it back to zero.

In the Simulation study tree, right-click Fixtures
and select Advanced Fixtures.

In the PropertyManager:
- Under Advanced (Use Reference Geometry), select Use Reference Geometry.
- Click inside the Faces, Edges, Vertices for Fixture
box, then select the face shown in the figure.

Click inside the Face, Edge,
Plane, Axis for Direction
box, then click the
Front plane in the flyout
FeatureManager design tree.

Under Translations:
- Set Unit
to mm.
- Click Along Plane Dir 1
then type 7 in the value box.
- Select Reverse direction.
- Under Variation with Time, click Curve then click Edit.

In the Time curve dialog
box:

In the Curve
data box, type the following pairs of data under the
X and Y columns respectively: (0,0), (1,1), and (2,0).

Click OK.

To view the actual displacement, click View.
- Close the graph window.
