You can also use surfacing tools to create surface bodies for the seat as an alternative way. Model the seat as a surface body by offsetting faces of the solid body.

In the FeatureManager design tree right-click frame<1>
and select Open Part
.

Click Offset Surface
(Surfaces toolbar).
To display the Surfaces toolbar, click
. In the Customize dialog
box, on the Toolbars tab, select
Surfaces and click OK.

In the PropertyManager, select the three faces shown for
Surface or Faces to Offset
.

Click Flip Offset Direction
and set the Offset Distance to 1.5mm, half the thickness of the seat.
The top faces of the seat offset inward to the mid-section of the body. You can also select the bottom faces of the seat to offset outward; the result is the same.
