Creating the Path Mate Motor

To drive the motion of the guide assembly along the path, create a constant speed path mate motor.

  1. Click Motor (MotionManager toolbar).
  2. For Motor Type, select Path Mate Motor .
  3. Under Mate/Direction, for Path Mate , select PathMate1 under the Mates folder in the MotionManager tree.
  4. Under Mate/Direction, click Reverse Direction so that the direction vector points counterclockwise along the path.
  5. Under Motion, for Speed , enter 50 in/s.
    This sets the motor at a constant speed of 50 inches per second.
  6. Click .
