Inserting the Upper Arm

Insert the upper arm block.

  1. Download and extract the sample files for this tutorial:
    1. Click here to download blocks.zip to your Downloads folder.
      For more information on downloading and managing sample files, see Sample Files.
    2. Browse to the Downloads folder and extract blocks.zip to a convenient location.
      For example, to organize your tutorial sample files, create a folder in your Documents folder named tutorial_files. Then extract into that folder to create a subfolder named blocks that contains the sample files for this tutorial.
  2. In the FeatureManager design tree, right-click Sketch1, and select Edit Sketch .
  3. Click Insert Block (Blocks toolbar).
  4. In the PropertyManager, under Blocks to Insert:
    1. Click Browse and go to the folder where you downloaded the sample files for this tutorial.
    2. Select upper_arm.sldblk, and click Open.
  5. Click to place the block in the graphics area, and then click .
    You can leave the upper arm anywhere in the graphics area, and position it later.
    To insert a single instance of a block, you only need to click once in the graphics area, and then click .

    Although you may see a second image of the block as you move the cursor, only one instance of the block is inserted.
