Shelling the Part

Hollow out the part by removing the top and bottom faces.

1. Click Shell on the Features tab.
2. In the PropertyManager, under Parameters:
   1. Set Thickness to 3.
   2. Select the top and bottom faces for Faces to Remove .
      
3. Click OK .
4. To see the shelled part better, rotate the part.
