Creating the Deployment Image

The email you receive from the DraftSight reseller includes a link to download the DraftSight Deployment Wizard.

You need to click the link to perform the installation.

To create the deployment image:

  1. Unzip the DraftsightDeploymentWizard file to a local folder and click OK.
    The default location is C:\swdist\DraftSightDeploymentWizard.
    The DraftSight Deployment Wizard dialog box appears.
  2. Optional: In the Welcome tab, click Next.
  3. In the Deployment Options tab, enter the following:
    1. In DraftSight Installer Location, type the path to the DraftSight installation media.
    2. In Network Share Location, specify a shared folder on the network.
      This folder stores the deployment image that the wizard creates. This folder must be accessible to all users.
    3. For DraftSight Installation Path, keep the Default selection.
      The default path is C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\DraftSight. You can select User Defined and navigate to the folder location.
  4. In the Server Setup tab:
    1. Select SolidNetWork License or Dassault Systemes License Server.
    2. Select the Server Type as Single, Cluster Server, or Managed DSLS.
    3. Enter the Server Name.
      The wizard adds the port number based on the license type.
  5. Click Next.
    The Summary tab displays the information and specifications for your deployment image.
  6. Check the summary details and click Finish.
    The DraftSight Deployment Wizard begins to create the deployment image package. When the process completes, you can send a link to the executable program file in an email.
  7. Click Send Email.
    An email message opens that you can send to users who need DraftSight.
