Adding Favorites

This procedure describes adding hole favorites. The process is the same for managing hardware favorites.

  1. To open the Toolbox - Holes dialog box, click Holes (Mechanical toolbar).
  2. In the dialog box, on the left, select a hole category.
  3. On the right, select the Standard, Type, and Size.
  4. Optional: Set the Scale to display the part in the drawing.
  5. Under Description, for Creation Method, select the component view.
  6. Expand Properties and select physical properties of the hole.

The hole category you selected in step 2 determines the property options.

  7. To chose whether to insert the hole as a block and to change layer preferences, click Settings.

The Toolbox - Settings dialog box opens to the appropriate Holes screen for the type of hole you are inserting.

Make settings changes as needed and click OK.

  8. On the right side of the dialog box, click Add to Favorites .
  9. In the Toolbox - Add to Favorites dialog box, do one of the following:
    • For Name, type a name and click OK.
    • Click OK to use the name that Toolbox provides.

Note: Each favorite must have a unique name.

For example, to save two favorites for the #0-80 Button Head Cap Screw that use a Simplified, and Detailed thread display, you could name them Simplified-#0-80 Button Head Cap Screw and Detailed-#0-80 Button Head Cap Screw.

The software adds the new favorite to the end of the Favorites list for its category.
