Toolbox - Edit Definition Dialog Box: for Screw Connections

Use the Toolbox - Edit Definition dialog box to see the current values for a selected screw connection. You can also initiate editing of some these properties.

To open the Toolbox - Edit Definition dialog box:

  1. Click Edit Screw Connection (Mechanical toolbar) or Mechanical Content > Screw Connection > Edit.
  2. In the graphics area, select a screw connection block entity.

Entity Info

The table lists the following details for the selected component:

Option Description
Quantity Found (Read-only.)
Indicates the number of entities that have exactly the same properties as the selected entity.
If there is more than one instance exists, you can select which instances to edit.
Standard (Read-only.)
Lists the standard on which the component is based.
Bolt type Shows the bolt or screw type on which the screw connection is based.
Bolt Size Shows the current size of the bolt or screw used in the screw connection.
Washer and nut properties you specified in the Toolbox - Screw Connection dialog box. The properties that are listed can include:
  • Head side washer
  • Nut side washer
  • Nut side nut 1
  • Nut side nut 2

Entity Edit

Option Description
All Applies your edits to all instances of the selected screw connection in the drawing.
Single Applies your edits to the selected screw connectiont only.
Multiple Applies your edits to selected instances of the screw connection.
Edit If you select All or Single:
Closes the Toolbox - Edit Definition dialog box and opens the Toolbox - Screw Connection dialog box. You can edit the fields that are active.
If you select Multiple:
Closes the Toolbox - Edit Definition dialog box and returns you to the drawing so that you can select the screw connections to edit.
After selecting the screw connections, press Esc to open the Toolbox - Screw Connection dialog box for editing.

Menu: Mechanical Content > Screw Connection > Edit

Mechanical Toolbar: Edit Screw Connection

Ribbon: Mechanical Content > Screw Connection > Edit
