Surface Finish Symbol Settings

Use the Surface Finish Symbol screen of the Toolbox - Settings dialog box to configure general and text settings for surface finish symbols you insert into drawings.

You can configure other surface finish symbol characteristics using the Toolbox - Surface Finish Symbols dialog box.

To displays surface finish symbol settings:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the ribbon, select Mechanical Content > Settings.
    • On the menu, click Mechanical Content > Settings.
    • On the Mechanical toolbar, click Settings .
  2. In the Toolbox - Settings dialog box, click Annotations > Surface Finish Symbol.

To modify surface finish symbol settings during creation:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the ribbon, select Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Surface Finish Symbols.
    • On the menu, click Mechanical Annotate > Symbols >Surface Finish Symbols.
    • On the Mechanical toolbar, clickSurface Finish Symbols .
    • Type AM_SFin.
  2. In the Toolbox - Surface Finish Symbols dialog box, click Settings.

General

Option Description
Leader display When you enable Leader, indicates whether the leader will be Straight or Bent.
Leader Includes a leader on the surface finish symbol.

Text

Option Description
Style Sets the text style used in the surface finish symbol.
Size Sets the size of the text and the size of the symbol.

Access

Toolbox - Settings dialog box: click Annotations > Surface Finish Symbol

Toolbox - Surface Finish Symbols dialog box: click Settings
