Welding Symbol Settings

Use the Welding Symbol screen of the Toolbox - Settings dialog box to configure general and text settings for welding symbols you insert into drawings.

You can configure other welding symbol characteristics using the Toolbox - Welding Symbols dialog box.

To display welding symbol settings:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the ribbon, select Mechanical Content > Settings.
    • On the menu, click Mechanical Content > Settings.
    • On the Mechanical toolbar, click Settings .
  2. In the Toolbox - Settings dialog box, click Annotations > Welding Symbol.

To modify welding symbol settings during creation:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the ribbon, select Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Welding Symbol.
    • On the menu, click Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Welding Symbol.
    • On the Mechanical toolbar, click Welding Symbol .
    • Type AM_Weld.
  2. In the Toolbox - Welding Symbols dialog box, click Settings.

General

Option Description
Leader anchor Indicates the location the leader is anchored to on the weld symbol:
  • Closest. If you drag to the left, the symbol content is placed to the left of the anchor point. If you drag to the right, content is placed to the right.
  • Left. The symbol content is placed to the left of the anchor point.
  • Right. The symbol content is placed to the right of the anchor point.

Text

Use this section to specify the appearance of text in the welding symbol.

Option Description
Style Sets the text style used in the weld symbol.
Size Sets the size of the text and the size of the symbol.

Access

Toolbox - Settings dialog box: click Annotations > Welding Symbol
