Creating and Placing Parts Lists
Use the AM_PartList command to create a parts list and place it in the graphics area.
A parts list is derived from a Bill of Material (BOM).
At the command line, select on which BOM you want to base the parts list, which you then detail in the Parts List dialog box and finally place in the graphics area.
You can do the following:
- Sort the parts list. You can sort the part list according to specified sort criteria.
- Edit a value in a cell.
- Change item number. You can change the item number to reflect the current sort order.
- Merge rows. You can manually merge two or more rows. Additionally, you can split a merged row.
- Use column splitting. You can wrap parts list columns when the number of data rows exceed a specified value. It is useful for fitting long parts lists on a single drawing sheet.
