Using the Thumbwheel for Offset Spacing

You can enlarge or reduce the offset distances between dimension lines of automatically arranged dimensions and geometry by using the thumbwheel in the Dimension palette.

To use the thumbwheel for offset spacing:

  1. In the Options dialog box, click Drawing Settings .
  2. Expand Dimension Snap Offset Distances.
  3. In Thumbwheel Offset Spacing, enter a value to use as an increment when you spin the thumbwheel in the Dimension palette.
Depending on the standard drawing template file you use, thumbwheel spacing increments are 0.10 inches (2.54 mm).
