You
can
create
linear sketch patterns using sketch entities on a plane or on a model.
For a linear sketch pattern of a fully defined entity, select these options in the
PropertyManager to generate a fully defined pattern:
- Dimension X
spacing
- Fix X-axis
- Dimension Y
spacing
- Dimension angle between
axes
To open the Linear
Sketch Pattern PropertyManager:
In an open sketch, click Linear Sketch
Pattern
(Sketch toolbar) or .
General guidelines include:
- Preselect
entities to pattern, and you can select to pattern along either axis by
specifying
a value for Number of Instances
.
- Select the X-axis, a linear entity, or a model edge to define Direction 1. You can also select a line from
the same sketch that contains the entities
to
the
pattern.
- You cannot select a line from a block for
direction reference.
- You cannot select and pattern the line that you
use for a direction reference.
