Save as Copy with a Subset of Configurations

You can save a copy of a part or assembly with a subset of configurations from the ConfigurationManager tab.

When selecting configurations to save, the active configuration is selected by default. The parent configuration of a derived configuration is selected with the derived configuration. You cannot clear the check box for the active configuration or the parent configuration.

Linked display states remain in the copied model.

To save as a copy with a subset of configuration:

  1. Open a model, right-click a configuration in the ConfigurationManager tab, and click Save Configurations.

3DEXPERIENCE users can right-click a configuration in the CAD Family ConfigurationManager and click Save Physical Products.

The Save Physical Products command is available only for physical products. If a physical product contains representations, when you save the physical product, the software saves the representations under the physical product.

For 3DEXPERIENCE users, the dialog box name is Save Physical Products as a new Assembly or Part.
  3. Click Save Selected.

The Save As dialog box opens.

  4. Do one of the following:
    • Browse to a location and click Save.
