You
can save a copy of a part or assembly with a subset of configurations from the
ConfigurationManager
tab.
When
selecting
configurations to save, the active configuration is selected by default. The parent
configuration of a derived configuration is selected with the derived configuration.
You cannot clear the check box for the active configuration or the parent
configuration.
Linked display states remain in the copied model.
To save as a copy with a subset of configuration:
- Open a model, right-click a configuration in the
ConfigurationManager
tab, and click Save
Configurations.3DEXPERIENCE users can right-click
a configuration in the CAD Family ConfigurationManager and click Save Physical Products.
The Save Physical
Products command is available only for physical products. If
a physical product contains representations, when you save the physical
product, the software saves the representations under the physical
product.

- In the Save Configurations as a new
Assembly/Part dialog box, select a configuration. To select all
configurations, click
.
For 3DEXPERIENCE users, the
dialog box name is Save Physical Products as a
new Assembly or Part.
- Click Save
Selected.
The
Save As dialog box
opens.
- Do
one of the following:
- Browse to a location and click Save.
- 3DEXPERIENCE users only:
- Click Save to 3DEXPERIENCE.
- In the Save As New dialog box, enter a
Title and click
Save.
- In the Save to 3DEXPERIENCE dialog box,
verify the parameters and click Save to
save the file to the platform.
