You can display component configuration descriptions in the FeatureManager design tree in part, assembly, and drawing documents and in the ConfigurationManager of parts and assemblies.

part, assembly, or drawing name, and select .
You can specify display options for component names and
descriptions at the document level or the system level. When using the
system level settings, you cannot change the settings at the document
level.
To specify options at the system level, click
and select Override document
level tree display. Click Component Name and Description to open the dialog
box.
When you select Override document level tree display, the options in
the Component Name and Description
dialog box are disabled at the document level.
