Assigning Search Terms to Tools

You can assign multiple custom search terms to SOLIDWORKS tools. With customized search terms, the Search Commands functionality finds tools that you mapped.

To assign search terms to tools:

  1. Click Tools > Customize, and select the Keyboard tab.
  2. Navigate to the tool to which you want to assign a search term.
  3. In the Search terms column for the tool, type terms separated by commas, and click OK.
