When
you run SOLIDWORKS on multiple monitors, it is recommended to use SOLIDWORKS on the primary
monitor or to have monitors with the same Dots-per-inch
(DPI)
value.
When you
drag the SOLIDWORKS app window to a monitor that has a DPI value different from the
primary monitor, the app displays a message that has options to manage scaling of the display.
The options
are:
- Move SOLIDWORKS to
the primary monitor. Moves the SOLIDWORKS app back to the main
monitor. As the SOLIDWORKS user interface is displayed according to the display
settings of the primary monitor, it is recommended to use SOLIDWORKS on the
primary monitor.
- Change the display
settings. Lets you
specify the
current monitor as the primary monitor. In the operating system's Display
settings, click Identify to
see
the
identity of monitors. Select the monitor that you want to be the primary and
select Make this my main display. After
this, you must restart your computer and start SOLIDWORKS on the monitor that
you have selected as primary. SOLIDWORKS opens on the recently assigned primary
monitor.
- Keep the current layout.
This option might cause scaling issues with the SOLIDWORKS user interface.
