Configuring the Collaborative Server

You can define the settings required for connecting to the collaborative server.

The collaborative server helps you to manage the opening, the closing, and the updating of drawings. When you have a client/server installation, multiple users can connect to the same collaborative server to share the same electrical projects.

For client/server installations, ensure that all clients have the same collaborative server configuration, plus the same address and port so that they can communicate together properly.

  1. Click Tools > Application settings > Collaborative server .
  2. Enter the IP address and port number of the machine where the collaborative server is installed. Two buttons allow you to test the connection.
  3. Enter the user name. This name is displayed in the electrical project properties and Revision management. You can use your Windows login or enter another name.
