Selecting Wires to Route Separately

The Wires dialog box lets you select the wires to route separately. You cannot select wires that are part of a harness. Only the selected wires are routed and the existing routed wires remain unchanged.

To select wires to route separately:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D menu: Route Wires .
    • In the menu bar, select Tools > SOLIDWORKS Electrical > Route Wires .
  2. In the Route wires PropertyManager, click:
    1. Selected wires
    2. Select wires
  3. In the Wires dialog box:
    • Properties . Displays the property of the selected wire.
    • Mark . Filters the wire list based on mark.
    • Wire style . Filters the wire list based on wire style.
    • In the left pane of the dialog box, you can filter the list of wires based on their location.
  4. Select the wires to route together and click Select.
