Scene Editor - Manager Tab

Use the Manager tab of the Scene Editor dialog box to select, cut, copy, and paste scenes from the Scene Library.

To access the Scene Manager:

  1. Click Scene (PhotoWorks toolbar), PhotoWorks, Scene, or right-click a scene in the Render Manager Tab and select Edit Scenery.

You can also select the Appearances/PhotoWorks tab to display scenes in the Task Pane.

  1. Select a scene, copy a scene from one folder to another, create custom folders, etc.

  2. Click Apply to accept the changes or click Undo to reverse the changes, then click Close.

PhotoWorks applies the changes when you click Apply. You do not have to close the dialog box before you render.

Dialog Box Elements

The Manager tab of the Scene Editor dialog box includes the following elements:

  • Toolbar. Facilitates copying scenes, saving scenes, and so on. A description of the tools is available later in this topic.

  • Scene Tree. Displays the different scene folders in a tree view. Predefined folders are yellow and custom folders are blue.

  • Scene Selection. Displays the scenes as thumbnail images for the open scene folders.

Toolbar

The Scene Manager tab provides several features using the toolbar. These available tools are:

  • Save As. Saves the current scene, with all of its custom properties, to a custom folder.

  • Cut. Cuts a custom scene from a folder. You cannot cut a predefined scene.

  • Copy. Copies a custom or predefined scene.

  • Paste. Pastes a custom or predefined scene into a custom folder.

  • New Folder. Creates a new folder in the Scene Tree as a sub-folder of a custom scene folder. You cannot add a sub-folder to the predefined folders.

  • Open Folder. Adds an existing folder to the Scene Tree. For example, you can select a folder where your colleagues store shared scenes.

  • Close Folder. Removes a folder from the Scene Tree. You can remove only custom folders that you opened using Open Folder. Close Folder does not delete the folder from disk; it hides the folder from view.

  • Set as Default. Sets the selected scene as the default scene.

Additional Tasks

  • Delete a custom scene folder. Right-click a custom folder in the Scene Tree and select Delete. This deletes the folder from the Scene Tree as well as from disk.

  • Select a scene. Click an image in the Scene Selection area to select the scene. The scene is added to the RenderManager tab and its properties are loaded in the Scene Editor dialog box.

  • Drag. Drag a predefined scene from the Scene Selection area to a custom folder to copy the scene. Drag a custom scene from the Scene Selection area to a custom folder to move the scene.

PhotoWorks applies the changes when you click Apply. You do not have to close the dialog box before you render.
