Customizing an XML Template

You can edit the XML templates provided with SolidWorks 3D Instant Website. The template determines the content in your web page. A knowledge of XML is desired, but not required, to edit the XML templates.

To customize an XML template:

  1. Locate the XML templates (*.sldiwx) provided with SolidWorks 3D Instant Website.

    The default location for the XML templates is in the \<installation_directory>\lang\<your_lang>\Instant Website Template folder.

  2. Open the XML template in a text editor such as Notepad or XML Notepad from Microsoft.

  3. Modify the elements and content in the template. Some common tasks include the following:
