Overview

SolidWorks 3D Instant Website allows you to create a web page from your SolidWorks application. The web page is based on a template and style that you can customize. The default templates that come with SolidWorks 3D Instant Website include:

  • An embedded CATweb, SolidWorks eDrawings, Hoops, JPEG, RealityWave, or Viewpoint viewer for parts or assemblies and a SolidWorks eDrawings viewer for drawings

  • A comment section where multiple reviewers can offer opinions

  • An assembly tree where reviewers can highlight or hide individual components (Viewpoint only)

  • An assembly view where reviewers can expand or collapse assemblies (Viewpoint only and SolidWorks assembly must have explode steps)

  • Your company's contact information with a link to its home page

Additionally, you can create your web page on a password-protected secure site hosted by Dassault Systemes SolidWorks Corporation. With this feature, you do not need your own web server to share your designs with others outside your company. You can also create your web page on a local or network drive.
